Most web design companies use a third party to provide hosting services to them. Technicks is different because we have made a substantial investment in our own internet infrastructure. We did this originally because the service contracts of third party hosting supplies were insufficient and over time we found them to be unreliable. By doing it ourselves we know what the problems are when they occur and how to fix them quickly. For us, relying on a third party provider for this essential service is too much of a risk.

We provide web design services to some of the most important brands in the UK. They rely on us to uphold their name online. If their web site breaks down and becomes unavailable this degrades their brand. It is a responsibility we take very seriously.

Internet Hosting takes five forms.

1. Web Site Hosting. We provide a server permanently connected to the internet. This server holds your web site design for visitors to look at it on their computer connected to the internet.
2. Email Hosting. Our email servers provide you with a full email service. You can view your emails in Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird or other email client. We also provide our own web interface into you email account which you can access using any web browser. We protect you from spam and viruses.
3. Domain Name Hosting. We look after your domain names, register new ones and make sure they are correctly set up to work with your web site and email. We do not charge to transfer domain names other than for standard registrar fees. If you have any problems or complaints about a domain name please contact us.
4. Broadband internet. We provide the connection for your office to the internet.
5. Bulk Email Hosting. Our mail servers can deliver vast quantities of email to your opt in subscribers. These solutions are all double opt-in based with systems to report delivery statistics and for recipients to easily manage what they recieve from you.
